Thriving Communities

Thriving Communities is a new national support programme provided by the National Academy for Social Prescribing (NASP), launched in 2020.  The programme aims to bring all types of voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise groups in England to work alongside social prescribing link workers.  A further aim is to create collaboration at the local across different sectors of community activity – social/welfare, the arts and sports and leisure.

A current opportunity open to both voluntary and community sector representatives and those working in social prescribing services is the regional Learning Together sessions taking place this autumn.

Learning Together is a flexible programme of regional learning and development activities for voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise groups and organisations supporting their communities’ needs through delivery of social prescribing activities.

More details about how to apply can be found here – places for the South East Learning Together programme are still open and representation from Hampshire-based groups would be most welcome.

What is the time commitment?

With monthly webinars and the opportunity to join networking meetings every other month, Learning Together is designed to fit around your work.

We would say it is a two hours a month commitment for most.

You will be offered other training opportunities, for example, Action Learning Sets, which would be an additional two hours a month, but these are not mandatory.

The learning programme is flexible as many webinars are recorded. Pick and choose how and when you engage.
